The Great Wanka Tanka
We want you to have the best. Our sage is blessed twice, once during the harvest and once after the rolling.
When I'm harvesting at dawn in the fields of the canyon, I ask for the Divine Spirit within (each one of us) to guide me. Holding the sage up to the Spirit of the North, I chant the words of the great Chief Black Elk. I chant this prayer to the remaining three directions and to the Sky, and to the Earth.
Like a shaman, we dance the dance. We actualize respect and gratitude for all that is Divine. We focus our energy on living our life in a skillful manner. We put forth an effort to acknowledge the unforseen forces that guide us throughout our lives. It is an invocation of the Spirit. A calling that we are invited to answer. It is the call of the wild. It is everything seen and unseen. We answer the voice within each of us by aligning ouselves with the Spirit of Love and the forces of goodness. We stand still, toe-to-toe with all phenomena, and listen.
